Jordan Eagles: Art Made With Blood Explores Corporeality - Oct 30, 2006

Explosive Energy, Organic patterns, tree rings, aerial views of crop circles, cells, planets, pools, segments, splats, curves, flow and the cosmos...

Sensei is pleased to present Jordan Eagles: Phases, an exhibition featuring new works by emerging, New York-based artist Jordan Eagles.

Eagles combines blood, acrylics, resin, metallic powders, and cheesecloth into strikingly beautiful forms, hues and textures that Eagles believes reveal the unitary nature of the body-sprit connection. His work has been described as luminous and magnifying (New York Times), brilliant, light-refracting art (Philadelphia Weekly) and elegant multimedia alters (SF Weekly). He has exhibited most recently at Urbis Artium Gallery in San Francisco and BLK/MRKT Gallery in Los Angeles. Somewhat notorious for his use of blood, his work was banned from New Jerseys annual Art at Overlook exhibition in 2003. On view at Sensei will be Eagles newest work from Summer 2006.
