In his early years Martin Aas experimented with colours and materials, he always had a need to reshape objects and push the boundaries of traditional techniques to their limits. At the age of 17, he was awarded a prize by the local mayor for his
"Looking Eyes"
artworks, which where a part of a group exhibition in which 130 young artists exhibited. This was the launching point of his career as an artist.
